About the 55/25 Solid Brass Padlock
Rust doesn't stand a chance against brass. The ABUS 55/25 takes a material that's outlasted decades of European hardware and puts it to work on cabinets, sheds, gates, and everyday storage. It's a lock built to hold up long after cheaper metals corrode.
ABUS 55/25 Brass Padlock
This solid brass padlock has earned its place as one of ABUS's most trusted locks across a wide range of uses.
The lock body is solid brass through and through. A hardened steel shackle and non-corrosive internal parts keep the lock working smoothly for years. Inside sits a precision pin cylinder with mushroom-head counterpins, built to resist picking. The exterior stands up to wind and weather, and the shackle locks without a key. Just push it down, and it's secured.
Applications run wide. Use it on loop cables, doors, gates, cabinets, lockers, tool boxes, basement windows, sheds, switchgear, or barriers. Anyone stocking up on laminated padlocks for tougher outdoor jobs can pair one with this brass lock for lighter-duty indoor and semi-outdoor spots.

Why Brass Padlocks Resist Rust
Brass has held its place as Europe's go-to padlock material for generations. ABUS carries the tradition forward with sizes and styles to match.
Brass naturally resists corrosion, and a coating or plastic cover pushes that resistance even further. With so many shackle types, sizes, and finishes in the ABUS brass lineup, most people find the exact fit they need without settling for a close match.
A padlock's material decides how long it lasts, and brass has earned its reputation the hard way. 1st-in-Padlocks carries ABUS brass locks alongside padlocks, cables, hasps, safes, and Diskus hardware from Master Lock, American Lock, SentrySafe, Pacific Lock, Trimax, and The Club. Discover keyed-alike and custom keying available across the board.
