FAQs
What is the difference between the 2847DAT and the 2848DAT?
The 2847DAT is a single coupler latch lock, while the 2848DAT is a complete set that includes both a receiver lock and a coupler latch lock keyed alike. The 2848DAT covers two points of entry under one key, making it the more complete option for full trailer security.
Can the 2848DAT key be matched to an existing Master Lock key number?
No. The 2848DAT set uses a keyed-alike configuration specific to the set, and it cannot match an existing key number. The K1 Key Blank applies to both locks in the set, keeping the system self-contained.
How does the Push to Lock mechanism work on the receiver lock?
Push to Lock lets you secure the receiver lock by firmly pressing the lock body onto the hitch pin, then removing the key. No additional steps or tools are needed, making it a fast option when you need to lock and go at a busy job site or loading dock.
